OVERVIEW
Designed to serve as a landmark for revitalizing East Downtown Houston’s industrial neighborhood, EaDo Kiosks is a fully accessible pavilion that houses two light-duty food service tenants. Two design concepts have been proposed, each exploring the intersection of light forms, materiality, and adaptable use. Both designs feature expansive, lightweight fabric canopies atop modest, delicately tiled masses. This approach keeps the construction cost within the budget and enables the pavilion to illuminate at night, transforming it into a glowing lantern or projection screen, effectively marking its presence within the neighborhood.
