Two rectilinear volumes puncture through the existing house, jogging the façade and carving out spaces for the different members of the family and their activities. The new volumes connect the interior to the newly designed outdoor spaces and beyond to the views of the lake and downtown LA. An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that faces the main house will sit above the existing garage.
